Mark is from Ganz, PE. He had a dog growing up, and feels guilty for leaving the gate open, allowing the dog to get out, which ended up causing it’s death. His kindergarten teacher’s name was Mrs. Lustgarten.

He was a history professor at Ganz College, which is where he met his wife, Gemma. He mostly taught about World War I.

He's had issues with alcohol throughout his life, including during his marriage, which escalated after his wife died. This was potentially inherited from his father. The two of them had a flask with "whiskey is life" carved into it.

He used to go to therapy to help him cope with Gemma's death.
